When Tyra Banks cast this contestant in her show, America’s Next Top Model, it causes uproar and controversy among people who view the show.
Isis King, born Darren Walls, is the first transgender woman to be in the Top 14 of America’s Next Top Model. At first, I cannot figure out which of these lovely 14 girls is a man, until I hear her voice, which is very visible to people already. She is still ‘pre-op’, meaning she still have something that comes out from a man, but that didn’t deter her determination to enter this competition, and that is what we must learn from her.
Never give up your hopes and dreams, even though there are tons of obstacles and challenges ahead of you. Just ignore what the others say about you, and move on towards your dreams.
I didn’t think she can go far though in this competition, maybe because she was not very confident towards the competition, as she is quite worried when she wears her bikini or swimsuit in a photo shoot in Episode 4.
She has sleepy eyes in her films which does not come along with Tyra much, as Tyra loves her girls to smile with their eyes.
Transgender or born in the wrong body or whatsoever, Isis King is who we must learn from, stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid to face the challenges ahead. Stay strong!

Hi, Ammadis. Thanks for visiting my blog. In Malaysia (that’s where I come from), it is not common to have a transgender community around us but we have to accept them also. They are often called pondan but what really matter is their determination to live here.
